What are you believing God for this Quarter? What do you have extreme faith for the next 3 months?

My life has changed drastically, and I couldn’t be more excited and nervous for my future. On June 4th I was let go from my 9-5. To be honest, I was already a bit tired from all of the things that came with working a 9-5. I have served as an Assistant for almost over 13 years. I started corporate at the young age of 20! Tried college a couple of times but I made a decent living working in Corporate, so I stuck with it. I started out as a Receptionist, moved on to an Office Assistant, to Office Manager, to Senior Executive Assistant in my last role. These jobs required so much more than what the job description stated. Support staff is truly the backbone of every single organization created.

But......I WAS TIRED!

I faced many situations in my last position that I legally can’t speak on. The last 3 years of my life I dedicated 40 hours a week to a company. I cried, prayed, and hung on until the end. One huge lesson I’ve learned from this situation is to trust in the LORD! Trusting God and listening to God kept me in perfect peace even when I didn’t understand. The end was sweet.... seriously the end was so SWEET! God showed me that HE is GOD!!!!!! Prayerfully one day I can tell the whole story. I’m not sure what my next chapter looks like. But summer 2018 is mine! I’m not quite ready to be back in a corporate setting so I’ll be praying, creating content and living! This is the first time in my life I will be taking some time to pursue my passion full throttle. {Pray for me saints!!}

Now, let’s get back to the original question! What are you believing God for the 2nd half of 2018? What miracles are you praying for? What do you have extreme faith for in this season? Goals seem to be the buzzword when we enter new seasons, both naturally and spiritually. My prayer is that answering these questions will assist you in developing your goals for Q3!

As for me, I’m praying for miracles in my business, miracles in my finance, and miracles for my relationships, and miracles in my health!! I have faith that God will give me tools to assist people in their journeys to wholeness. I’m praying for the strength and tenacity to execute on the level that God has for me. I’m praying that God keeps me in perfect peace as I wait for my husband to find me. Lbvs! These are just a few of my prayers because the list is lengthy! I will, of course, be using my “Goals and Declarations” workbook to track my progress. Repeat after me: I AM POWERFUL!!! I AM POWERFUL!!!

Isaiah 40:29He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength.

As I journey through life, I have to constantly remind myself that I am POWERFUL!! I take situations and make them work for me, even if they are designed to work against me.....I make them work FOR ME! How you ask??

My Aunt once said to me that everything that happens to you is for your good and for God's glory. This blessed me so much and gave me so much perspective.

Take a moment and imagine that to be true. Everything that happens to you is for your good and for God's glory.

This statement is based on:

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

&

John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

As much as I don't want to be identified by certain things, they are a part of my life. Instead of waiting to be what I consider to be my best self, I found purpose in my broken self. I found power in my broken state. Too often many feel empowered when they have it all together, but there is something so special about moving in a broken state. It gives us the opportunity to see God perform true miracles.

I never planned on being an overweight divorcee who's baby died shortly after birth. I didn't ask for this life.

Divorce: I wrote about it, learned from it, and empowered others along the way.

Losing Farah: I shared my journey and encouraged fellow Angel Mommies as God encourages me.

My weight: I found the most fly clothes for my size and found a passion for fashion that reaches beyond curvy women.

I could be embarrassed, depressed, lost, or even so focused on the future that I miss my opportunity in the present.

God continues to use my brokenness for my good and for HIS GLORY!!

Say it with me again...I AM POWERFUL!!!

Challenge!!!!

I challenge you to find the most insecure area in your life right now and find a way to be empowered in this area. Discover a way to support others in this area. It doesn't have to be public. Find a private way to see God through it all!

Here are five ways to locate POWER in your brokenness:

Journal the journey

Volunteer with organizations

Locate a support group with others like you

Get a counselor

Pray!

Okay, so it is happening..........my dreams and goals are scaring the living crap out of me.

Parts of me feel overwhelmed and unavailable for this level up that God is tugging on me to do. I have struggled to put my vision board together, but refuse to give up. Have you ever felt like you wanted to run from everything that God was calling you to do??

Yeah......me too!

2018 has met me with some requirements that are scary, to say the least. I have found myself with a brain full of thoughts and a heart full of fear. Fear of messing up. Fear of not being organized.

Fear. Fear. Fear.

Now, that I have been honest with my feelings, let's be transparent about the facts.

God is GOOD!!! I know we hear this statement all of the time, but no, seriously, GOD IS GOOD!!!!

I took these feelings to Jesus and HE gave me tools and strategies to implement and help me move past my fear. I have prayed over these things and I am now ready to share with you.

This message is for the dreamers!! The people that are so pregnant with purpose, but afraid of that delivery room. What does it all look like? How does it feel? What should my next move be??

Well here are some tips that are helping me along the way!

1. PLEASE be honest with yourself regarding your feelings.

Feelings are not facts! Acknowledging your feelings gives you the opportunity to deal with them in an appropriate manner. Once I feel a certain way, I can look up and meditate on scriptures to counter those feelings. For example, Psalm 56:3-4 says, When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

2. Do a master brain dump!

Get it all out of your head! Dream and imagine it ALL! Ask God to open your imagination up to the impossible that HE is capable of doing! Then write it all down!

3. Find a way to organize your thoughts! This is MAJOR KEY!!!!

I am a firm believer that slow and steady wins the race every time. I've had a few meltdowns but I am scratching things off my list and even if it takes me longer...I AM GETTING IT DONE!!!

As we enter March, I look back on February with a thankful heart. I did not complete every goal but I am aggressively pursuing my goals in the name of Jesus and I know that’s what truly matters.

Here's a snippet of goals accomplished for me:

1. I wanted to not only take photos for #SundaysWithTot, but I wanted a blog post for each photo with links. My blog was suffering but I set a goal and I am aggressively going for it. (Even writing this during my lunch is proof that I am serious! lol!)

2. Another goal was to not only complete but release my first digital product! OMG! I still can't believe that my workbook is out and 418 people have downloaded it! Did you get yours?? Download here!

1 goal that is rolling over to March is finishing my Feb book. I want to read at least 1 book a month and I am only half way through with my February book. But the goal is to keep it on the list and keep going!

NO GOAL LEFT BEHIND in 2018 is the GOAL! I am excited and prayerful as I enter March. I hope and pray you are encouraged as you pursue your goals and know that YOU CAN DO IT!
