Stripes on a Sunday!

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Happy Tuesday beautiful people! We have another day to get it "right!" These last couple of days have been simply amazing and really enlightening for me! I have so many exciting things that I can't wait to share.

Here I am again, playing dress up! This past Sunday I wanted to really have some fun mixing stripes, so I went in my closet and had some fun. I must admit the thought of it was quite intimidating, but I just went for it and had fun doing it. Would you believe me if I told you that this entire outfit was less than $30?! Yep! You'll notice I rocked this menswear top a few ways, I just wanted to have fun and show the versatility of the oversized blouse.  (Side Note, I am working on getting some better quality photos for the blog! Don't be too hard on me)
Top: Gap.com
Skirt: Old Navy (found on sale for $4.97!!!)
Shoes: Of course my favorite Louboutins
Small waist belt: H&M

I loved pairing it with the belt to highlight my waist but of course I was conscious of covering the hips and booty for church! lol!
When the Chicago wind wants to take your hat!!!
Dressing my curves can sometimes be challenging but I really enjoy it.

Another way I rocked this two piece was tying the shirt up. If I wasn't going to church I would have worn this shirt tied up. This look is a little sexier highlighting the curves a little more!

Attempting to get my Top Model on! lol! NOT! Just having fun with my husband taking pics.

I had an event to go to that evening and the rain in Chicago would not let me be great :( So, I paired the top with some leggings, switched to the Fendi belt, and changed to a polkadot hat! Still doing some mixing here; polka dots and stripes!

Can you see the excitement in my face?? I was minutes from asking MC Lyte a couple of questions at a listening party for her new album, "Legend."
