The best thing that has ever happened to me.....

We all have this  grand idea of how our lives will turn out. Most people are taught at an early age that proper preparation prevents a poor performance. (Or maybe these were just my lessons lol!) But what if this was not always true, what if no matter how prepared you are, you still find yourself hitting a roadblock. You ever get to that point in life, where there seems to be something blocking your blessings as they say?! It could be your love life, finances, career, family, etc. You ever feel like the lifestyle you ordered or really prepared yourself for is just out of stock?? In more ways than one, I can relate to those feelings. I am a natural planner, and Lord knows I had a pretty dope master plan for my life. I have always believed in Jesus Christ and was even raised in the church but what does "trusting God" and "having faith" really mean? As my plan begin to unravel at the seams, I found myself at a place of vulnerability. I truly hit the brick wall of confusion, I really thought that my elevator talks with Jesus would get me over. I found myself in a place where nothing could give me peace but Christ. I had to refocus...
2 reminders that gave me peace....

1. Seek God First (In every way put GOD FIRST)
Matthew 6:33-34(AMP)  But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (is way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

2. You Ain't Got the Plan! *In my Kanye voice*

Proverbs 19:21 (AMP) Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.

These reminders  were life changing for me because I had to let go of my plan and get in tune with God's plan!

The thing about God's plan is that it is always in stock because it is especially made for us.

I had to add a picture of some of my favorite books that I use to study God's word. This faith walk is real and not always easy and these are some of my favorite go to books to "Keep Tot in check" or just simply remind me that I am to put my trust and faith in HIM.
(My real life goals)

Jesus Calling (An Awesome devotional), NIV Student Bible (I love how it breaks down the bible),
Love & Respect (a wonderful book for married couples), Ending Your Day Right (an evening devotional), and The Secret Power of speaking God's word (Gives scripture reference to specific areas)
