January 2017 – March 2017

I entered 2017 very hopeful and very excited. I completed my vision board in January 2017 and was very clear with my goals. I have not been able to blog as much as I wanted to this year.
(Insert sad face) Wait, I am getting ahead of myself.

I have decided to do a 2017 Quarterly recap and separate each recap in 4 areas.

Highs. Lows. Lessons. Clothes.

So here we go…..Quarter 1!

1. An area on my vision board was to have more dates with my Mother!

In January, a week before my Mother’s birthday we went on an amazing trip to NYC!

We shared an amazing apartment in Harlem with one of my dearest friends and her Mom and sisters.

We saw  Color Purple, did some light shopping, and had a magical time in NYC! This was officially my 1st amazing moment of 2017.

2. I attended a conference in January called the Millions Conference in January. This conference was AHMAZING!!!!!!!

This conference was tailored to Christian Entrepreneurs and was everything I needed to get my year started right!

3. In Feb my friend wrote an amazing blog post and it blew my mind!!! I think it's special when we share real moments with real people in our lives.

OMG! Thanks Mary for contributing!

4. On Feb 25th I held my 2nd Tot Talks! This Fashion Empowerment Workshop was a hit!

I met some amazing women at this intensive 3 hour workshop. This one was a bit smaller than my first one but still so powerful.

I  started to get really comfortable speaking on the things that God has given me during this Tot Talks.

March was so major for the blog!

I did my first ever Women’s History month celebration and decided to celebrate my village!

I featured my Godmother and Aunt and looking at these pics still gets me a bit emotional!!!

My 2nd Tot Talks didn’t have as many guests as I hoped it would. My day job as a Senior Executive Assistant was amping up and I was struggling to manage it all. I begin to see that I was not doing well with the whole balancing life thing.

I started to see how much I would need to plan properly.
Life was moving very fast and the calendar was getting busier and busier. I was trying to balance it alone at times. This is when I had a discussion with my friend about my sleeping habits. She helped me to see that rest was going to be very necessary for the days ahead. This was only the beginning of this revelation....
